Tip #43: Setting a Personal Example

Reflect on the following questions.

• How do your actions impact others?

• What adjustments do you make for improvement?

As leaders, we are always on stage. To set the example of what is expected of others, we need to model the way – walk the talk – practice what we preach – do what we say we will do.

Ask yourself this question. Am I on time, or do I usually run late?

If you continuity run late, my guess is that you don’t want to be late all the time. You probably have good intentions, a reason, and an amplifying factor. However, there may be penalties you are paying in your relationships and in the workplace.
