Tip 87: Leading Great Remote Meetings
As we continue to connect from our remote working environments, consider changing your approach for leading online meetings to ensure all team members are engaged and held accountable for input and productivity.
1. Plan for your meetings, including a detailed agenda, assigned roles and responsibilities, structured collaboration, and timelines.
2. Check your tech at the start of your meeting to ensure your audio is clear and team members can see each other. Ask team members to mute themselves when not talking and use the chat space for sharing thoughts during the meeting.
3. Direct the flow of conversations by incorporating feedback questions throughout the discussion. Share your screen to increase engagement and clarity. Allow time for reflection and be aware of nonverbals.
