Tip 91: Speak With Conviction
Consider starting your next team meeting with a conversation about the impact the team has on others. Ask the question: How does the work we do benefit colleagues from other areas, external partners, and our community?
Many of us, regardless of our role in the organization, desire to make a difference in the work we do. We want to have an impact and contribute to something larger than ourselves. As a leader, help those who work with you and for you to recognize the good work they are doing in the organization and for the world. Communicate with genuine conviction about the higher meaning and purpose of your work.
Exemplary leaders speak passionately with their teams and colleagues about what they are building together.
