Tip #7: Create a Spirit of Community

Leaders create a spirit of community by celebrating the values of the group and the contributions of each individual. Values are the bottom line of an individual and of a team. It’s important that these be discussed and recognized publicly.

Publicly recognize people who exemplify a commitment to shared values. When you see something, say something. Be specific when you praise people for a job well done, and let their peers hear you.
