Strategic planning skills allow leaders to be more effective. But, how do we develop strategic planning skills? As leaders, we are always presented with problems and tasks. Do you and your team immediately move to solve it, or do you step back and ask good strategic planning questions before proceeding? When faced with challenges, good strategic planning questions include those around desired outcomes, organizing and delegating work, resources, learning and improvement, as well as measuring progress.
