Tip #48: Setting Achievable Goals

The longest journey begins with the first step. Do your project plans cover just the final outcome or each step along the way? Effective leaders know they have to break down big problems into small ones, allowing for daily actions to build confidence for big wins.

Consider your current projects and select one that isn’t progressing the way you would like. Review the desired outcome and find a way to restructure the project into smaller, more manageable steps. Set intermediate milestones that can be more easily achieved. Celebrate small wins along the way, before proceeding to the next step.
