Tip #65: Engage Your Team
Take a moment and reflect on your team’s engagement. Would you use the words “energetic,” “optimistic,” and “hope” to describe their engagement?
As the leader of your team, it is important to demonstrate how their values and interests serve the long-term vision of the organization. A leader’s responsibility is to develop loyal supporters and committed contributors to this vision.
Try this. Reflect on the last speech or conversation you had with your team. Note two-to-three techniques you used to communicate your vision. Write a clear and concise statement that summarizes how the team’s values, strengths, and talents align with the vision.
